In the San Joaquin Valley of California, there's a citrus grove that stretches as far as the eye can see. It’s here that Halos mandarins are grown. Halos are a sweet, delicious snack loved by both kids and grown-ups alike. While every Halo is a mandarin, not every mandarin deserves to be called a Halo. In order to earn their halos, each one of our mandarins is grown and selected to be seedless, super-sweet and easy to peel.

Moreover, Halos are Non-GMO Project Verified. And with our new, state-of-the-art citrus packing facility, we’re able to deliver Halos mandarins at their peak of freshness to families from coast to coast.

Pure Goodness isn’t just a motto, it’s our way of life. In order to be called Halos, our fruit are carefully grown and selected to be the finest mandarins in the world.

SWEET

Sweetened by Mother Nature on the branch, Halos mandarins make a great alternative to candy and sodas.

SEEDLESS

Unlike many mandarins, Halos mandarins are seedless. So there‘s nothing to get in the way of pure enjoyment.

EASY TO PEEL

Halos mandarins have a soft, thin skin, which makes them easy to peel for kids, and easy to enjoy for everyone.

PLANTING FOR TOMORROW

When Halos kids grow up, they deserve to enjoy a healthy planet. That’s why our farmers at Wonderful Citrus are committed to sustainability. They grow all fruit with Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). That includes using environmentally safe pesticide alternatives, saving water with drip irrigation and carefully controlling soil erosion.

EVEN PICKIER THAN KIDS

To make sure every single fruit meets our high standards, we use only the most advanced systems. We use multiple control points to ensure accurate grading. An on-site laboratory tests the Brix-to-acid ratio (an important measure of fruit sweetness) for consistent flavor and balance. High-speed optical technologies check the sweetness of the fruit before packing. And our full-time quality control experts supervise the process every step of the way, from harvesting all the way to packing.

THE POWER OF HALOS

Wonderful Citrus owns the world’s largest citrus processing plant and, along with it, one of the biggest customer-owned rooftop solar plants in the U.S., generating 2.7MW of power. And when combined with the 1.6MW fuel cell, which produces electricity from natural gas with no combustion, more than 35% of the plant’s energy need is derived from “green energy” generation.
