THE WONDERFUL COMPANY RECEIVES GOLDEN NUT AWARD

Company Honored by the International Nut and Dried Fruit Council for Industry Excellence

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA | Jun 02, 2016

At its Annual World Nut and Dried Fruit Congress in San Diego, the International Nut and Dried Fruit Council (INC) awarded The Wonderful Company its Golden Nut Award. This honor is the top international recognition that can be bestowed upon a company and acknowledges quality and leadership in the sector.

“We are honored to receive the Golden Nut Award, which represents excellence in the nuts and dried fruit industry,” said Stewart Resnick, chairman and president of The Wonderful Company. “This award recognizes that our brand Wonderful Pistachios and Almonds, in partnership with INC, continues to serve as a leader in researching and promoting the health benefits of nuts and providing consumers with wholesome, nutritious real foods.”

The Wonderful Company has dedicated significant resources towards research and development and sustainability practices, including digital mapping to more effectively monitor the growth and health of crops and the creation of pistachio “super trees,” which provide 30 percent more yield with no increase to irrigation.

The Wonderful Company continues to enjoy success within the nut industry, serving as a market leader. A newly released Nielsen Harris Poll EquiTrend Study examining shopping habits for 100,000 consumers found that Wonderful Pistachios were recognized by Millennials and Boomers as “on the way up” and in the Top 10 amongst 2,500 brands surveyed.
